WW2 German Mobile Flak Tower Concept
WW2 German Mobile Flak Tower Concept

During WW2 under the supervision of Albert Speers the Germans built several huge concrete Flak Towers to protect Berlin, Hamburg and Vienna from Allied Bombing. Although these were stationary and almost castle like in their appearance they were however formidable towers. Armed with 37mm Flak Cannons and 128 mm Flak Guns.
Taking this as inspiration for my concept what if the Germans had taken this a step further and made a mobile version. A tower that could support mechanized Armour and Infantry from Allied air attack. Especially in the latter part of WW2 when the Allies had gained much of the air superiority in Europe as they pushed the Germans back. Here I have depicted one of these Flak Towers ( Mb.Flk.Pz.Tm. IV... Oststurm ) on the outskirts of the forest of the Ardennes where the Germans are preparing to launch a counter strike against the Allies in a last desperate attempt to stop the Allied advance. These towers are armed with 8 x 88mm Flak Guns, and 7 x 20mm Flak quads. This huge Armoured behemoth would average a speed of 5-10mph and have a support crew of around 150 men.
